Woodgate & Lisa Newport
Since
their
arrival in May 2007, Mark and Lisa have completely transformed Bay
Bodyfit Health & Fitness Centre.
Mark
has been
involved in the fitness industry for more than 15 years operating as
‘Body
Blueprint Personal Training.’ He is one of the most sought
after
and accomplished personal trainers in the country and has
helped hundreds of clients achieve their goals with specialised fitness
programmes.
Mark
has created
a number of very successful body
transformation programmes which run year round at Bay
Bodyfit. Mark
is renowned for
providing a professional, quality service and is 100% committed to
helping you achieve your fitness goals.
Lisa
has lived in
Tauranga and the Mount for as long as she can
remember! She is a hairdresser by trade and has always had an interest
in health and fitness. Having run her own business for a number
of years, Lisa combines her enthusiasm for fitness
with her
business experience. Lisa
has completed a fitness education
programme to further advance her role at Bay Bodyfit.
Mark
is continuing to provide personal training
services
and helping Bay Bodyfit members achieve the best possible results from
their
fitness programmes. Lisa's focus is on the day to day
running
of the business.

Ngawai
Ormsby : Group Fitness Manager

Ngawai
has
been a dedicated gym junkie since she joined the gym in 2005 and loves
it with
a passion!
Group
fitness is where Ngawai thrives the most and she loves the
satisfaction of a good hard solid workout. Ngawai enjoys
interacting with
the members and feeding off their energy as this inspires her to
inspire
them.
Her
aspirations
include broadening her repertoire of Les Mills programmes in her role
as group
fitness manager.
Ngawai
also
enjoys being active with her two boys and she hopes she can be
a good
example of health and fitness to them as well as others.

Sheryl Petersen

Sheryl
Petersen : Customer Services
Sheryl
has been a
staunch ‘gym junkie’ for over 10 years and participates in group
fitness classes, resistance training & yoga. She is currently
undertaking a fitness course.
Sheryl
has a
passion for outback tramping and she loves gardening.
Sheryl
provides
support and encouragement to the members of Bay Bodyfit, helping them
to achieve all their health & fitness goals.

Ryan Wilson

Ryan Wilson
|
Ryan grew up in South Auckland and recently
returned from his
O.E in Europe.
After returning in 2009 he decided
to move to the sunny Bay of Plenty. He
is enrolled
in the Diploma of Sport and Recreation at the BOP Polytechnic and
currently in his
2nd year.
Ryan has always had a passion for sport and
recreation and
loves being involved in most sports. Ryan currently plays rugby and
cricket and
has represented his region at both sports.
Ryan is a regular gym goer and has a particular
interest
in nutrition and human movement.
His other interests include music, the beach,
relaxing
with mates and having a good time.
Ryan is excited about the opportunity to work
at Bay
Bodyfit and assist the members.

Julie Sherriff

Julie
Sherriff : Customer
Services / Exercise Specialist
For Julie, health
and exercise has always been a passion. Julie has recently completed
her
certificate in fitness level 4 and holds a current NPLA certificate.
Julie also
works as an aqua instructor which she finds very fulfilling.
Julie loves
spending time outside with her husband and 2 boys, whether it be
walking up the
Mount, cycling or having a friendly game of soccer.
Julie aspires to be
a great example to them and to others.

Tracey Lewis

Tracey
Lewis : Exercise
Specialist
Tracey has been a Mt Maunganui / Tauranga local
for
16 years. She studied Physical Education and Teaching at Otago
University for 5
years and has been involved in competitive volleyball and
representative hockey
since arriving in the Bay. Tracey has also participated in many cycle
races and
multi-sport events over the past few years.
For the past 7 years she has been motivating
school
students as a Physical Education and Health teacher
in New Zealand,
the UK and the USA. She is looking forward to helping her
clients
one-on-one to make the difference they are
seeking as a member
at Bay Body Fit.
She loves the beach and also looks
forward to
getting up the mountain during the ski season!
A
regular gym-goer, she
knows how hard it can be to get motivated to make the changes needed
but is
dedicated to ensuring her clients achieve
their fitness goals in a
non-intimidating and fun way.

Kaye
O’Neill has
had over 15yrs experience in the fitness industry.
She is an accomplished bodybuilder having won every major
title in
New Zealand including the Overalls at Nationals, Oceania and
Pan
Pacifics and placed 12th at the Worlds in 1997.

Matt Ward

Matt Ward : Personal Trainer
Matt
grew up
in Blenheim and represented the district in gymnastics. He
joined the New
Zealand Navy in 1994 and served abroad and at home. In 2003
Matthew
became a Police Constable and amongst other things has policed
Auckland’s
North Shore,
Motorway Patrol,
and The Driver Training Unit.
Matt’s
passion
for fitness and helping others saw him transfer to the Bay in 2009 and
he completed
his Personal Training qualification with AUT.
Award
Personal
Training was born and grew into the success we see today.
Originally
based out of his home based training studio, Matt also trains clients
at Bay
Bodyfit. Matt offers a full range of personal training services.

Paul
Tietjens : Personal Trainer

Paul Tietjens
|
Paul was born and raised in Tauranga where he
attended Otumoetai
College.
Here he was very privileged to seek the role of Head Boy and due to
outstanding
sporting achievements he was awarded Sportsman of the year. Before
leaving to
study sport at university, he represented the Bay of Plenty Province in
age
grade Rugby and
the top side in Rugby Sevens.
He
then studied a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise at Massey University
in Palmerston North where he represented the Manawatu
Province
in Rugby
and Rugby Sevens.
Paul
is now currently studying a Post Graduate Diploma in Secondary
School Teaching majoring in the Physical Education and Health areas.
Paul's
enthusiasm for Rugby,
Sport, and
Teaching means he has a strong passion to train and push people to
achieve
their goals in whatever they do. His knowledge in regards to training
is of
very high standards and his experience with semi professional and
professional
rugby teams means he has got what it takes to drive clients to success.
Based
at Bay Bodyfit, Paul offers a full range of personal training
services. These include cardio training, weight training, speed
training,
boxing training and rehab. Paul will design specialised training and
nutrition
programmes to achieve your goals and full potential. Weight loss,
