     2)  So what exactly is group fitness?
  • Group Fitness is where aerobics left off. It's the new generation of fitness classes and Bay Bodyfit's Les Mills classes are the very best. These classes take activities like cycling, dance, weight training and yoga, sets them to inspiring music and delivers amazing results!

     3)  What is Personal Training?

  • No longer just for the rich and famous. These days it's the norm to have a 'PT'. Our personal trainers are highly qualified fitness professionals.
  • Your personal trainer will designed a personalized programme to suit your individual needs and provide you with ongoing support and motivation to help you achieve amazing results in the shortest time possible. 

    4. Does my membership allow me to train at gyms other than Bay Bodyfit?  

    5. I don't really know my way around the gym. Do  you have an exercise induction? 

  • Absolutely! When you join Bay Bodyfit you'll receive an induction and complete tour of our health and fitness centre.  
  • Our exercise specialists will design a personal programme based on your fitness goals, familiarise you with the exercise equipment while showing you how to perform the exercises safely and correctly.
  • Our friendly staff are always on hand to answer any questions or assist you at any time.  

    6. Do I have to wear anything special? 

  • Wear what you feel comfortable wearing. For example, a t-shirt, singlet, shorts, trackpants etc. Bring a towel and drink bottle, and you're ready to go!
  • To comply with health and safety regulations we ask that you wear closed-toe shoes in our workout areas at all times.

    7.  I've heard it can get quite busy sometimes. When is it a little quieter? 

  • All health & fitness centres have their peak times immediately before or after work, however as Bay Bodyfit covers an area of over 800 square feet and has 2 levels, you'll never have to contend with large crowds or queue for machines...even at peak times! 
  • If you'd prefer to work out at less busy times, why not come in early morning or mid to late afternoon? Generally our quieter times are from 8am to 4pm. It makes a great break from work - and you can shower here afterwards.

    8. How much does it cost to go to Bay Bodyfit Health & Fitness Centre? 

  • Bay Bodyfit has some of the most affordable membership rates in the Bay of Plenty. 
  • We have a range of memberships starting from as low as $13.50 per week.
  • Commit to a lifestyle - not a contract! Bay Bodyfit offers a unique pricing option whereby you can  pay as you go. Join for as little or as long as you wish.     9. What's included with my membership? 

  • With your membership or free 7 day trial, you'll receive unlimited access to Bay Bodyfit Health & Fitness Centre.
  • Free start up training programmes, exercise instruction and nutrition plan. 
  • Regular programme updates. (as often as you require) 
  • Our Les Mills Group Fitness classes are included FREE with your membership.
  • You'll have unlimited use of all in-gym facilities.

    10. Do I have a choice regarding how long I can join for? 

  • We don't believe in making you commit beyond what's reasonable. There's no point signing up for 2 years if you're only going to be around for 1.
  • We offer you a choice of membership duration - ranging from non-contractual casual day visits and 10-visit concession cards, 6 month, 12 month and 36 month memberships.

    11. What happens to my membership if I want to go on holiday or I get sick? 

  • Easy. You have the option to suspend your membership for up to 3 months depending on your circumstances. All you have to do is inform us at least one week in advance to be able to stop the next payment coming out of your account.
  • nb: Suspensions do not reduce your minimum contract period, which is extended by the suspension period.

    12. How can I introduce a friend to Bay Bodyfit Health & Fitness Centre? 

  • As a member you have unlimited privileges to bring new guests to Bay Bodyfit for a complimentary work-out. All we ask is that they sign a waiver form when they arrive and that they work out with you. What better way for them to experience Bay Bodyfit!

  • Monday - Thursday 5:30am - 8.30pm
  • Friday 5:30am - 8:00pm
  • Saturday / Sunday & Public Holidays 8:00am - 2:00pm
