you live in Mt Maunganui, Tauranga or Papamoa, you can choose
to enter into our 12 week weight loss competition and be in to
win thousands
of dollars in prizes. (competition not compulsory)

do I go about weighing in? Where
and how often?
Weigh in
once per week at:

You
may
call in at a time suitable for you during our open hours. When
you
call in, ask to be weighed by a staff member. The staff member will
record your
weight on your 12 Week Weight Loss Sheet. This form is
available
for download once you have completed your online
registration.
Nb: Your
first weigh in should take place between Monday
12th Sep and Sat 17th September.
(For a
reliable measure of your progress we recommend that you weigh
in on the same day and at about the same time every
week)

5) When do I
start the 12 week challenge?
If
you're entering the competition, the 12 week challenge commences on
Mon
19th September and finishes on Sat 10th December.
Otherwise
you can start the 12 week challenge when it suits. (We recommend
setting a specific start date and deadline for best results)

Do you have some exercise
programmes I can follow?
As soon as
you've registered you’ll receive online access to
our specially
designed Biggest Loser workouts featuring exercise
animations and instructions, workout calendar and
more. (These
workouts are GUARANTEED to burn body fat FAST!)

7) I
consider myself to be very unfit, have little or
no exercise experience. Can I still enter the 12 week challenge? What
exercise programme do
you recommend?
If you have
been relatively inactive for 6 months or more, we suggest that
you
first
obtain medical clearance from your health professional before
commencing this exercise programme.
As your
fitness improves, gradually increase your weights, repetitions and
build up to
the suggested timeframes. (Sample exercise
progressions are included in the Biggest Loser Starter Pack)
If you
would like support and guidance, we suggest hiring the services of a
fitness
instructor or personal trainer.

Do I need to work out at a gym?
Can I work out from home?
Some
people prefer to work out at a gym for support and motivational
purposes, however
if you are sufficiently motivated and would prefer to work out from
home, the
choice is yours. We provide you with home and gym
based options to suit your specific needs.

9) Do I
need any special
equipment?
If you decide
to work out from home
and do not have access to cardio equipment such as a treadmill, rower,
bike etc, special home based cardio options
including bodyweight
exercises have been included.
(These can be
accessed from your online
workout calendar by visiting: http://www.fitnessgenerator.com/bodyblueprint
and entering the username and password provided to you after
registration.
For the
resistance training components you'll need a swiss ball and at
least 2 or 3 pairs of dumbbells (or adjustable dumbbells)

Choose a
55 cm ball if you're 4'11" - 5'4" in height
Choose a 65 cm ball if you're 5'5" - 5'11" in height
Choose a 75 cm ball if you're 6'0" - 6' 7" in height
Suggested
starting dumbbell weights (female)
3, 6 and
8kg (one pair of each)
Suggested
starting dumbbell weights (male)
6, 8,
12kg (one pair of each)

Can I do group fitness classes as my cardio?
Absolutely! Body
Step, Body Combat, RPM (or 'spinning') and ZUMBA are all excellent ways
to burn calories, have fun and stay motivated!

any age limits?
Participants
should be aged 16 years and over.

How is the Biggest Loser
Competition judged?
Winners are
determined by the amount of weight lost relative to their total body
weight
(total kilograms lost divided by initial body weight = percentage lost)

I've decided to start a 12 week challenge at my local
gym...can I still enter the Biggest Loser competition?
Absolutely! You can undertake the fitness
programme of your choice. The same criteria applies. Register
for the Biggest Loser online, weigh in once per week at Bay Bodyfit and
you're qualified!

Is the nutrition plan difficult to follow? Are there any special food
or supplement requirements?
The
Biggest Loser nutrition plan is very easy to follow and
includes
everyday foods. For added convenience you may wish to purchase
a
quality whey protein powder for shakes and smoothies, however
this
is not compulsory.

15) How
much weight can I expect to lose?
You
can expect to lose at least 1kg (2.2lbs) per week. However, it
is
important
to note that individual results may vary as this depends on your
starting
weight, exercise history, level of fitness
and adherence to the exercise and nutrition programme.
